I bought this item from air compressors direct 3 years ago (4-15-08). I have only used my air compressor about a dozen times since I've owned it. Very little use.
The problem I had with this is that after a few times of using the air compressor I couldn't get the drain valve on the air dryer to stay shut. It would constantly leak air. NO matter how you adjust it you cant keep it from shooting out air.
Cheap plastic valve, needs to be higher quality. I can't say it performed well. Besides the leaking, I noticed I still had quite a bit of moisture in my lines still.
ACD RESPONDS: This accessory comes with a 90 day warranty from Campbell Hausfeld; had you called them right away they may have replaced the unit.
Even though you are past the warranty period we suggest giving their Tech Support folks a call, toll free, at (800) 543-6400. They will have some suggestions on how to get the best performance from your filter/dryer.
