Q: Does it only have a Schrader adapter or Presta too? My road bicycles use Presta tubes and I usually pump them to 110-120psi, but this would still get me most of the way there if it has a Presta adapter too. by Peter Woeste from Minnesota on December 02, 2011
A: Hello, You will need to use a Schrader to Presta adaptor with all of the tire inflators & air compressors we sell on AirCompressorsDirect.com. We do not sell that adaptor, but they are readily available at bike shops. by Steve, Product Expert
Q: Hello Steve, Purchased a Black & Decker auto tire inflator and boy what a mistake. Used it perhaps 20 times and it stopped working. Was told that the fuse blew out in it. Tried to fix it and finally junked it all together. My question is how does model RP4200 work? Does it have a fuse that could burn out and if so, what do I have to do to replace it? by Doug Comrie from Connecticut on November 03, 2011
A: Hi!
If you go to our page for that unit, and click on the Specs tab, look to the right- you can download the Owner's Manual. On page 6 of the Manual it shows the fuse cap, just under the power plug. A simple twist-and-click is all it takes to get it out.
Your question raises another one, though- what are you trying to inflate? These little inflators are meant for car tires (and all the smaller stuff- balls, bikes, rafts, etc).
If you've been trying to top off large tractor, truck, or RV tires, you will burn this one up, too- it's not the right tool for that job. We sell DC compressors that are rated for the large tires found on diesel pushers, if that's what you actually need.

My experience with PED
This is the second item I purchased from PED.
Both items were as good as advertised, priced fairly & shipped promptly.
That is all I can ask for.

Easy To Read
Great for adding air to my car tires. No more hunting for or trying to find a pressure gauge that works.
My eyes are not what they used to be. I found it hard to read some of the pressure gauges I have. The digital and mechanical gauges that I use all give different readings.
This compressor clearly shows how much pressure is in your tire and is so simple to use, just set it and push a button, Its automatic.
I even let my 10 year old grandaughter fill up a tire on her bike. Thanks for such a great product.

Retired Electrican Says Best Ever
I have had 4 back operations and bending over is very painful, so I needed some type of tire inflator that does not to be held on and this works perfect for me.
This unit is one of the best and with the economy and gas prices so high, tire pressure is very important for gas mileage. I would rate this unit as being the best ever, even though the others have not been tried.
Thank you very much.

What I expected
It's very accurate. It works a little slow, but it does get the job done well.
I seem to have found a peculiar "problem" - if you turn the unit on (plug it in), set the pressure, fill a tire, then attempt to go to tire 2, 3 or 4 it gives false readings unless you unplug the unit and start from ground zero.
It's a little to noisy to use a 10:00pm at night in your driveway!
I would say for the money it was a good buy.

Good with 18" tires
I really love using my Campbell Hausfeld 4200 compressor.
It inflates my 18 inch tires very quickly and the pressure gauge is very accurate.

Small but powerful
I purchased the tire inflator for my RV. I've found it simple to use and very fast acting. I've also used it on my tow vehicle, wife's car and my tractor.
It inflates all those tires with ease.

Biking Again
After trying manual pumps, car plug-in pumps, and a very noisy air compressor, I had about decided to sell my bike.
The manual pumps came off, disconnected at about 40 psi; the air compressor was very noisy; and if I had to start my car to plug in my pump, I might just as well drive.
Not anymore!!! The Campbell Hausfeld RP4200 plugs into the wall receptacle, you set the pump and you turn it on. Then it pumps it to the set level, and stops. It is also quiet.
OMG!!!! Something that actually works!! It is small, easily carried and is fabulous!! Thank You-Thank you-Thank you.

Not Good, it's Great
This unit is fantastic. Very portable, very rugged. Does everything well.
If I had to say something negative I would have to say I wished the hose was a little longer, but other than that I don't see where anyone could speak badly about this compressor. I
believe it equals the performance of units costing twice as much.
