Steve's Recommendation
Our top picks in this category are all versions of the same model. That's unusual for us, but the reason is the Quiet Rotary Screw technology.
Rotary screw air compressors are efficient and quiet, so they are great for light industrial applications where you need 10+ CFM, but also need to have workers nearby. It's only about as loud as a normal conversation, or a good dishwasher.
This technology has no wearing parts- none; so maintenance is simple and cheap. Even the hi-tech lubricant is rated for 4,000 hours before it needs to be changed.
Our Better pick is more powerful, and our Best pick has a built in Air Dryer for critical applications where moisture in the air lines would damage your work.

Quiet & efficient
This is a quiet, efficient compact compressor. Be careful getting it off the skid- it's quite top heavy.
I found that I could bring in a forklift from the end of the tank, and lift if from the bottom ledges of the compressor housing.
