Q: I'm looking for an upright wheeled portable compressor with an aluminum, stainless, or other rust-free tank that produces at least 5 cfm at 90 psi and that won't trip a 15-amp breaker if used with an extension cord. by Tim from California on August 11, 2011
A: All the compressors we sell have steel tanks. The tanks will last for many years if the accumulated water is drained after each use. Extension cords are not recommended for use with air compressors. Using longer air hose with the compressor plugged directly into a dedicated 15A (20A preferred) outlet will eliminate breaker trips. by Steve, Product Expert

Steve's Recommendation
All the units in our Contractor category are meant to perform under job-site conditions; it's only natural that some will do a better job than others.
This unit from Industrial Air has an easy-to-transport vertical tank, and a sturdy one-piece cast iron crankcase.
We like the fact it can be converted fro 120 volt AC to 240 volt AC for maximum versatility.
