1 Question
Q: Hello Steve! I have a machine shop with 4 CNC machines and I want to buy a rotary screw air compressor. Right now I'm having a two stage air compressor and its noisy. My question is what is advantage of using a rotary screw air compressor? what is the difference? If I buy it should I buy 3-phase or single phase? 80 gallon tank should be enough? higher the horsepower the better? please give me your advice. Thank you very much! by Kenny Vu from California on April 10, 2011
A: Hello, Rotary Screw air compressors are great for applications where a continuous delivery of air is required. And they are much quieter than similarly sized reciprocating (piston) air compressors. Three phase power may save you some money on your utility bill versus a single phase unit. Consult with your electrician to make sure the proper phase & voltage is available in your area. Regards, Customer Service by Steve, Product Expert
