When I bought my Puma compressor, there weren't any reviews to advise me. Still, I collected information about all the compressors in this size category and decided that the Puma was the best value AND quality.
I'm not cheap but I need the best at a great value. I compared many compressors obsessively: the pumps, the motors, 120/220volt systems, CFM's, PSI, cast iron-aluminum and aluminum-iron sleeved motors, tanks, regulators, etc...
The resounding answer (at least on paper) was this Puma.
Now, 6 months later:
It's quiet, very quiet, probably about 55 dBA. The rpm's are around 1200. I can easily run all of my nailers, air-drills, grinders, and ratchets. I've haven't run a paint gun since I'm sure it doesn't quite have the oomph to do the job.
The pressure regulator works very well, and adjustments can be made easily and accurately. The tank has a bleed valve on the bottom to drain moisture. |

I bought one of these compressors close to 7 years ago.
It hasn't failed me yet... It has been able to keep up with all my air tools: texture hopper, random orbital sander, sand blaster, various nailers and smaller pneumatic tools.
I highly recommend this machine. |
