Too Much Money For What You Actually Get
I originally set out to get the largest 110v compressor that I could find. This Quincy had the highest CFM of anything that was 110v and portable. It is a great compressor, very quiet and smooth. It takes almost exactly 5 minutes to reach 135 psi from 0. I had no issues with air leaks like some others have stated. Even overnight I have had no pressure bleed off.

It has a ball style valve to drain the tank which is nice. It will have no trouble running impact guns, air chisels, or air... more

Came From The Factory With Leaks
The compressor had a leak where the pressure switch/regulator connected to the top of the tank. Called Quincy, the informed me that I would have to take it to the nearest dealer (150 mi. round trip) they would not pay for the dealer to come and repair. Had to fix it myself which meant removing the wiring to the pressure switch and removing the gauges. This is poor quality control, I might as well have bought a cheaper compressor as Lowes. At least I could have returned it.
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Fast
Cons: Low Quality

John,
We contacted our rep at Quincy, who assures us that each unit is checked at the factory prior to shipping. However- since there was no record of shipping damage they have offered a credit for your time and trouble. We'll email you privately with the details.

Good Service, Moisture And Loose Fittings Out Of The Box.
I chose this unit over the Ingersoll and Craftsman because of the features, it's a US company, and you can get a good warranty extension.

The compressor showed up a week late because of a shipping error that the shipping company was good enough to keep me informed on, but otherwise was delivered without issue and with good service.

I read the previous review about loose fittings so I unpacked and checked the unit for damage before signing the Waybill. I didn't find any damage or broken... more

"The compressor got cross-shipped with another unit and delayed delivery, but the shipping company was up front and kept me informed, I received the compressor a week later in good shape out of the box, and with a helpful driver."

Enjoying The Quincy Compressor
This compressor is very nice, and very quiet. I replaced an older Sears 26 gallon compressor that was very noisy we often wheeled it outside the shop while using it, as we couldn't even speak to each other while it was running. This Quincy unit is super quiet by comparison, and we do not need to relocate it outside while using it. =) My ONLY complaint so far is that for $750, it didn't include a quick disconnect fitting to plug your hose into. I had to go buy one locally. It was just more... more

Great Running Compressor
With this unit being on 120V and 26 gallons, I'd say it's easily comparable to half the performance of large full shop compressors. (The 60 gallon 220V boys you see in the back of full service garages). If you're an individual who needs to run an impact wrench here and there for some automotive work at home, the Quincy works well. It's quiet. An impact wrench or air hammer is significantly louder than the running compressor. I certainly recommend this compressor to experienced individuals... more

Leak In Copper Tube.
Bought this at Lowes in clear lake ( south of Houston on 45). Copper tube connecting the compressor to the top of the storage tank had a leak in the bend just above the tank. Poor quality control.

I believe the compressor would have been very quiet, except for the jet engine hissing sound of air screaming through this hole. I took it back a week later. Lowe's took it back but acted snotty as if I was some sort of problem customer. I told them what the problem was and they didn't even... more

Snails Move Faster
10 days have passed between the expected shipping date and still no delivery! if you need anything to do actual work, one should avoid ACD and if it's being delivered by YRC it's probably tied to the top of an old broken down Vw bug trying to make it across the country----or the world for the length of time it takes for DELIVERY---very disappointed
