Q: how long is the power cord that plugs into the cig liter? A common complaint I read is the cord is too short to reach the rear of a long pickup. by Roger from Washington on April 14, 2011
A: Hello, The manufacturer's do not state the length of their power cords, but they were designed to work on an average car or light truck. A cordless tire inflator can be charged, then carried where you need it. Regards, Customer Service by Steve, Product Expert

Good job Wagan!
This air compressor has been a good value to me so far. For a medium priced unit, it is just right for me.
I use it to keep my tires at the right pressure. It is not made to fill down tires, as it has a high pump rate and would get too hot to serve that kind of duty. But for quick top offs, it's great.
I like the threaded connection on the hose because the toggle/friction fittings found on most units almost always end up being a problem over time.
The integral dial pressure gauge is nice too. Good job Wagan!

GREAT Compact Inflator !!
Like this inflator so far. Received it Xmas '10 and have used it a few times for both passenger and truck tire inflations.
I like the screw-on brass nozzle. I had read some other reviews and people were stating that there was significant air loss when unscrewing the nozzle. Baloney!! The air loss is very miniscule.
I had to replace my old inflator (Craftsman) because the air chuck wore out after 15+ years and it wouldn't stay on the valve stem anymore. Have had no trouble locking the 12v plug into the base...there are two slots in the recess for the plug that the prongs go into to hold it in place.
It is powerful for such a small unit. Have not had an opportunity to inflate balls or mattresses but I'm sure it will do the job fine. The only weak spots is (1) the 12v plug. I've not had any problems with it yet, but compared to the plug on my old Craftsman, the Wagan plug seems a lot less sturdy. One will have to be careful when plugging and un-plugging from the elect. source. (2) Wish the cord was a couple of feet longer, unless you can purchase some kind of 12v extension cord to reach like a trailer you have connected on a hitch.
Overall...great product for the price!

Tops off tires in a jiffy
Nice little inflator. Tops off tires in a jiffy. Much faster and quieter than the inflator that I had for at least 15 years prior.
The gauge is in increments of 4 PSI rather than 5, but I always use a hand gauge for the actual check. Seems pretty accurate.
It has a little bit of delay between when you turn on the switch and the pump starts running. I flipped the switch a couple times before I figured out the delay.
Only issue I've noticed is that the 12v plug doesn't lock into the base very well at all. Not worth messing with to get it to lock in place.

I was amazed
Just tried this for the first time the other day. I could not be more happy. So quiet, I was amazed, and it topped off my car tire in no time.
I was looking for a quiet model, and I now have one.
