Inflator vs. Air CompressorDo You Want Something Cheap or Fast?
Inflators and portable air compressors are similar, but they are hardly the same.
Inflators Inflators are great at filling beach balls, sporting goods and toys. Plus, the cost won't take your breath away. However, they just don't do it very fast. Inflators simply lack the strength to quickly inflate large objects or things requiring a lot of pressure. For example, an inflator can fill a car tire, but it could take up to 20 minutes to reach the right pressure.
Portable Air Compressors
On the other hand, small air compressors are much more powerful and more expensive. If speed is a major issue, go with a portable air compressor instead of an inflator. You'll definitely appreciate the extra power. In addition, portable air compressors pack plenty of punch to operate small air tools, like air brush kits, nailers and staplers. |
