ACD Launches Redesigned Web Site
Superstore Unveils New Design & Air Tool Portal
ROMEOVILLE, IL (May 26, 2004) - Air Compressors Direct.com - a leading online air compressor superstore - today debuted its redesigned web site with new "customer-approved" navigation and new air tool portal.
New Navigation
"Until now, picking the perfect air compressor was like finding an inflation needle in a bottomless tool chest," said Jon Hoch, founder of Air Compressors Direct.com. "There are simply too many options."
Air Compressors Direct.com conducted extensive interviews with air compressor customers to determine the easiest way to find the perfect air compressor. According to Hoch, customers were able to significantly narrow their search by using one of four prepositional phrases:
"It almost sounds too simple, but it's extremely helpful in narrowing your search," says Hoch. "If you want an air compressor for 'around the house,' you don't have to sort through a bunch of irrelevant contractor- and industrial-grade products."
Air Compressors Direct.com redesigned its entire web site based on the new concept. Customers can now "Shop by Style," choosing between the four major categories. They can then narrow their search even further by selecting the ideal pump or tank configuration.
The redesigned site also allows customers to "Shop by Brand", "Shop by (Tank) Size," and "Shop by CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute)", giving customers multiple ways to sort and compare more than 60 different air compressor models.
Air Tools Too
Air Compressors Direct.com also launched a new air tool portal, offering a diverse range of pneumatic accessories and air tools, including nailers, grinders, impact wrenches, sanders, drills and spray guns.
To celebrate the redesigned site, the company is offering factory-direct discounts and a tax-free guarantee on all air tools and accessories. And, for a limited time, customers will receive free shipping with any air compressor order.
