I purchased this air compressor about 2 years ago to replace one which was around 30 years old and was getting tired. This one has been used only in a hobbyist application. Has not been used for auto body or any other extremely strenuous use. A few days ago I noticed it was vibrating slightly more than usual.
I took the head off to find one of the reed valves had broke. I contacted the company to see what they could do. They said a reed valve wasn't available to purchase separately, I had to purchase the entire valve plate, which was $55, plus $11 for shipping and $11 for handling.
So close to $80 to get my unit working again. The company won't stand behind the product. I asked to talk to a manager, got her voicemail. Should have kept the old tired iron I had, at least it pumped up.
