A: It is a good choice- it runs slower, so it's quieter to work around; a real plus in a small shop.
The 230V units don't come with a power cord; it's expected that your electrician will wire it into your system.

Delivery time was excellent...Used the tailgate service to drop this unit at my home.
I purchased the unit to replace a 20 yr old single stage 5 hp compressor...What a difference!... Nice to have high volume 150 to 170 psi air for grit blasting in my home shop.
Also works very well with spray painting equipment. I purchased air regulator/filter to support painting and my plasma cutter usage.
