I've had a sears 3hp 230v compressor and was very noisy. This Puma PK6060v 60 gallon single stage is very quiet, very heavy construction and runs very cool.
I would highly recommend this compressor to anyone that is serious about using any air tool for home use or short intervals.

Great price, great compressor
At first I was unsure about the brand once I did some reading I felt a little better, but was still keen on a IR but they were a little out of my budget, once I recived the puma couldn't be happier?
I have a attached garage about 24' by 24' its so packed with all my tools I have no room for a 60 gallon compressor so my new puma sits in a small utility room in my basement next to my water heater sitting on some dampers and red headed into the cement, the compressor drain is piped to the sump pump basket.
It's very quiet and even while running you can't hear it up stairs and while in the basement you can hear it its still quite enough to watch a movie.
It's very well made and i even called pumas tech support to order extra air filters and a belt, they awnserd in english and were very helpful, customer support is a big buying factor for me, Im very pleased and do not wish I went with the IR at all.
I run nailers, die grinders, cut offs, impacts, ratches, fill pool toys and tires, and a little painting, its done it all and with ease. I give it a 5 out of a 5 and Air Compressor Direct was a pleasure to buy from and will do so in the future.

Well made for the price
Overall quality is very good. The compressor seems to bog down a little when it first starts to run, but as it continues to run for a few minutes, this improves. This is my first larger air compressor, so I'm not sure this is common with the larger units. I know my 2HP portable Ingersoll Rand compressor does not do this.
Although it has an American flag prominently displayed on the tank, I have my doubts that it is made in the USA. Nowhere on the unit or in the owners manual does it specifically state it is made or assembled in the USA. The only country of origin label is on the motor, and it's made in Brazil. At least the profits come back to an American company.
For the price, I think it is a well-made unit and I'd recommend it.

My old compressor gave out and needed a new one. Except for the delay in shipping, I am very pleased with this unit.
Quiet, quick recovery, and provides adequate supply for a small blast cabinet.
Excellent choice for moderate usage.

Happy customer
I've only used it for a couple weeks so far, but it seems to be a great compressor for the money.
It makes lots of air and runs nice and quiet. Left some air in it for a couple days and it didn't lose any psi.
