I've been assured that the motor is the best part of the compressor, so it should last. We'll see. Having said that, the details are lacking. The regulator pressure gauge is not only small, but more importantly the units of measure favor BAR in readability, which is not the traditional standard for most U.S. consumers. The psi scale from 0-30 is denoted in tick mark increments of 7.5. From 30-60, 60-90 etc. the tick marks are in 6 psi increments. What kind of numbering system is this? Tick marks are usually in increments of 1,2,5, or maybe 10. California Air Tools told me they have to market to the entire world, so this is the gauge it comes with. Also the regulatory gauge and the tank pressure gauge cannot be seen simultaneously because they face different directions. Next, the regulatory knob can be spun all the way off the shift as there is no stop. Finally, the included air filter is in a plastic case with plastic threads. Overall, kind of dissappointing for the $400+. I kept it because I needed a compressor. Time will tell how it works out.

I've been doing this 42 years and this is the best air pressure on the job site I have ever used...no air leaks, builds pressure quickly, and the other guys can hear me talking. I believe I’ve had every brand and this by far is the best.

You get what you pay for. Lightweight and decent air output that keeps up with light to medium demand. Other compressors might cost a hundred dollars less but they weigh 20 pounds more and will drive you crazy with noise. This tool started keys a valued balance. I would have liked this tool 2 compressors ago. Highly recommended.

Used for rock crawlers and pumping up big 40-43 tires and used off of a Honda 2000 generator. It kills every other air compressor for trail use I’ve ever owned. Stupid quiet & stupid pressure and worth the extra money spent for the quality. Very happy with purchase

What is the duty cycle for this compressor? Our application is running small air-powered water pumps for 30-90 minutes at a time. Pumps require 0.6 to 0.8 SCFM @ 100 PSI, and we'd like to operate up to three pumps simultaneously.
