I got it installed and turned it on for the first time, but the on/off switch broke immediately. It got stuck in the “on” position. I contacted Puma and spoke with the parts department—they sent me a replacement pressure switch. Fortunately, I’m pretty handy and was able to install it myself. It’s been working well since then. Just a heads-up: the switch is made of cheap plastic, so be very careful when using it.

The exhaust tube on my compressor was crushed during shipping. I took pictures, contacted Air Compressor Direct, and they had the company ship me a new one out right away. Great customer service!

Nice and quiet for this size compressor. Wish the pressure regulator was easier to adjust and that the cut on - cut off limits could be closer together. On at 105 psi and off at just over 130 psi. Otherwise, so far so good.

Compressor arrived on time, and the truck driver called and confirmed the address. He was very professional and made unloading easy.
Pallet assembly was not impressive, but no damage to the compressor. The 1/4" copper tubing to the pressure switch was almost kinked at the bends, very poor workmanship, and had to be replaced

Was well packed when it arrived. Everything was there that was supposed to be. It's fairly quiet. Really the only complaint I have is the same as some others. the belt alignment was terrible. waaaay, off. I tried to move the motor pulley and there was no way I could get the grub screws loose on the pulley. So fortunately there were a few sets of holes under the compressor and I moved it over about 3/8ths inch. that aligned the belt. Yes, it was 3/8ths off of alignment. It had been test run and there was belt particulate inside the cage, and on the top of the tank. other than that is a good unit. Well made. Have no issues thus far. I still would recommend this unit even with the belt issue. Others have had this same problem so I was aware.

I was hesitant to upgrade from a smaller 30 gallon because I didn’t really think I needed the extra capacity, but my wife seemed to think it would be a good investment. She couldn’t have been more right as usual (haha). It keeps my DA going with no downtime on smaller jobs and it’s a lot quieter. My neighbor bought his first and that was a big help on the decision, as he is a retired auto painter but still does it occasionally. What can I say, it’s a good unit. My only fuss is the 1/4” copper tube on top was kinked while the manufacturing process was being completed. I know this because several others have had this same issue, and while it’s always addressed and fixed, I opted to just replace mine myself as opposed to waiting since I had the copper and fittings on hand. I appreciate Air Compressors Direct and their very good pricing and shipping, they’re a really good company. Also mine was supposed to ship after a couple of weeks but ended up getting it early, I’ll never complain about that!
