Do you know what the CFM would be at 90 PSI?
Justin J.
from Massachusetts
March 26, 2020
Answer
I currently do not have those specifications. However, Quincy has supplied us with the CFM at 100 PSI which is 15.4. Therefore, it would not be much more than this at 90.

Most piston air compressors run at a minimum of 80 decibels. Most manufacturers do not supply us with the decibel ratings because of too many variables that come into play.

How do I disconnect the air compressor safely from the power supply?

Answer
This compressor is hardwired to the power supply. You would need to cut power to that circuit and disconnect the wiring from the starter on the compressor.

We have 208 volt single phase wiring in our shop -- the result of splitting 3-phase wiring. Will the 230 v. 5hp Quincy motors run properly on this voltage? Are the motors provided by Quincy single wound or double wound?
Marvin Fretwell
from Arizona
February 05, 2013
Answer
This compressor must have 230V single phase power. Running it on 208V will cause the motor to burn up/fail prematurely. A buck boost transformer can be installed by your electrician to convert 208V to 230V power.

What all is provided with the unit to get it up and running on arrival?
Terry
from Iowa
October 31, 2011
Answer
Since this is a 230V unit, your electrician will need to wire it into your power system. It comes with a 1-year factory warranty. Here is a link to the Maintenance Kit for this unit: Quincy Maintenance Kit 015. You may want to consider an air distribution system to make the most of your new compressor. The MaxLine system is meant for larger compressors and buildings; here is the link to take a look: RapidAir MaxLine Air System.
