14 mths old with very little home use and the motor will not start. I think the start capacitor went out. I bought this thinking this would be the last compressor I would buy and does not look like that will happen. My parents have an old craftsman compressor that was used way harder/ longer and still working today.

I am very disappointed that this compressor was not delivered as pictured. The item in the photo obviously has a Baldor motor. What I received does not. The item in the photo has a ring at the bottom of the tank and 4 feet. What I received has no ring and only 3 feet.
I can only assume the pump is correct since nothing else is. I could have bought a compressor with this quality of tank and motor for much less just about anywhere. I believe that Curtis should ship what is shown and be true to their product.

I am so sorry the image we have online is not current! I've requested a new image from the folks at FS-Curtis and will have the image for this product line updated immediately.
The unit should still match everything in the Features and Specs we list, and will still deliver FS-Curtis quality and dependability, as well as their 2 year Factory Warranty- otherwise they wouldn't put their name on it.

Please accept my apologies for the fact that we have not updated the photo. We will work on doing that ASAP. Regarding the motor and the tank, I was not aware that we had changed our motor supplier, so I will work with our product management team to understand why we did that and will be happy to update you once I've had that conversation.
As far as the tank, we made the change to the pedestal style tank in order to provide better access to the manual drain. We had received feedback that it was very difficult to access the drain with the skirt base.
Finally, rest assured that the pump is in fact the same long-lasting cast iron pump that has been part of the CT packages since we introduced them.
Regardless, you are absolutely correct that we should have updated pictures, so we would like to make amends by providing 4 maintenance kits free of charge. Simply provide your mailing address and contact information and we'll send these out.
