It Works

I have had to use it twice. Once on wheel chair tires which requires a screw on connection. I found other devices pushed the stem in to the point it couldn't be inflated. It filled the tires to 78 very quickly. The other was a tire on my BMW after warning showed low tire pressure. It took less than 5 minutes to get it to 35 psi. Gauge seems to be very accurate.

Great Inflator!

Great compact inflator. The compartment to hold all the different connectors is a wonderful idea. It stores nicely because of the compact size. Had a Craftsman bulky inflator that burned out. The tire connector was difficult to use and the Slime is a breeze to use.

Great Inflator!!!
By Roger P.

I bought this unit because I Top Off a lot of tires. It's rated at 150 PSI and Screws on Valve instead of Quick Disconnect, which wear out Quickly and Leek.

It takes less than 20 seconds longer per tire but you don't have to re-do because to much air escaped with the QD.
The gauge is very accurate. Just put 1 more lbs. on the gauge than you want in there and unscrew. For me this unit works Great !!!.

Incompatible with air bottle

I like everything about the inflator except the screw fitting. My air bottle is unthreaded and therefore incompatible with it. Had I known this I would not have purchased the Slime Inflator.

Questionable product
By Dale D.
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
Purchased 10/06/2014 |
Review Posted 10/31/2014
After looking at 120 Volt tire inflators, I decided this was the best of the lot. There aren't many to pick from. I had an excellent Black & Decker 120 V inflator that lasted for a decade or more, and finally burned up. I was going to buy another one, but the new ones got terrible reviews, so I chose the Slime.

Disappointed in this Slime product for the following reasons:
1. Air connector must be screwed on, not a quick connect (not obvious from the photo or description).
2. Does not connect to Presta valve, only schrader. I had to provide my own adapter.
3. Slow to inflate. The compressor obviously lacks power. I can't say how high it will go, but I did take it to 110 psi.
4. After only 5 uses, the pressure gauge (nice but too small) stopped working. Sad!
5. User must supply their own power cord. Not really that big a deal, and might be an advantage for some, but how much extra could it have cost to add a 5 ft cord?

I'd like to return it and get my money back.

Expert Response
We're sorry to hear that you did not find this product to your liking. Unfortunately, we do not know of any 120V AC tire inflators that come ready for use with Presta style valves. A tire inflator will slowly fill car or light truck tires up to approx. 50 psi max. Higher pressure tires or faster inflation rates, CFM, require an air compressor.
As for the "missing" power cord, the Features for this unit list:
Attach To Your Extension Cord
•Plugs into any 18 gauge or higher extension cord (not included)
But we will attempt to make changes to make that & the type of air connector more clear.
We will email you return instructions.
