I've had this air compressor (actually we have 3 of them) for years and never ever had any issues with it. Never had the motor(s) go out or anything like that. Just used it to double check the tires of 3 of our vehicles and still works like a charm. Wouldn't give it up for anything. One is always in my vehicle and the other two are in my wife & daughter's vehicle.

I have this same model and have gotten several uses out of it . Can I say it lasted a year ? Well yes it did , even willing to say 1 1/2 year. Let me just say it recently overheated and blew it's fuse.
I replaced the fuse with the proper fuse and now the light does not work and is not putting out air even though can hear the compressor running. I did put have mine from Walmart. I mainly accessed this site to check what reviews or issues this model has.

Stopped after only 6 tire inflation's and could not get my money back from autozone even though i had just purchased it 1 month ago.

Won't buy again - BROKE

I bought two of these for two cars. One broke after a few uses - compressor issues. I sent two emails to the company, (slime.com), about the model, info etc, and they never responded. They don't need my business I guess or probably anyone elses.....

Inflators are only meant to top off an already inflated car tire; they are not meant to inflate a tire that is completely flat. Please check your Owner's Manual for recommended run times.
You should regularly check your spare to make sure it has the proper inflation- when you get your oil changed is easy to remember.

This thing takes forever to blow up a inflatable boat. Nearly 15 minutes. Not high powered or fast. Air sputters out. Can't imagine how it would fill a car tire like that.

Inflators are meant to top off a couple pounds on a car tire- not inflate it from scratch. They are also made to top off sports balls and small pool rafts (not giant lake toys).
For larger items you are better off using an actual air compressor for a speedier fill.

I bought this and keep in my work truck. I've had it for about a year and used it a few times. Now it doesn't put out any air.
I've only inflated 1 flat tire and several bike tires. My last portable 12v air compressor lasted quite a long time, but Slime was the only available one when I was at the department store and I bought it.
I was considering buying one for my motorcycle but will look for a different brand and see how it holds up.

12 volt plug not designed properly

The 12 volt plug that goes into the power source in the car completely fell apart. I plugged the unit in and noticed that it was not working. I then took the plug out and noticed that one side (the only side connected to a wire) was squished into the plug so it wasn't touching what it was supposed to touch inside the power source.
I then unscrewed the top and the screw that held the two pieces of the plug together came out (it was too short). I tried to put it back together, but I could not get the metal in the plug to touch the power source.
I don't think that this should be a recommended item. I would like a suggestion on a product that does not have a plug with this assembly.

Broke while using it the third time

This unit was conveniently available at a chain store, and worked well the first two times I used it, but broke during the third use. It's great to have an inflator in your car, but not this one.
