Made in USA is a legal definition that applies to items not only assembled here, but all the parts have to be made here as well.
That's gotten very expensive over the past 15 years, and since folks usually chase the lowest cost, Made in USA units have priced themselves right out of the market.
Even companies that used to make all their parts like Ingersoll Rand, Jenny, and Quincy have started to use some globally sourced parts so they can stay competitive- but their quality has remained high.
