The manufacturers do not provide us with this information. Piston air compressors normally operate at a starting decibel rating of 80.

Trying to decide between ingersoll rand p1.5iu-a9 I like the thick tank and wheels very sturdy looking.
Or the Chicago numatic rcp226vp for the higher 7.2 cfm but wheels and tank etc look cheap.
or the dewalt dxcmla1983054 30 gallon dual electric.
Bottom line is which is best made , longest lasting.and does the cfm really matter if the tank is holding roughfully 125lbs regardless. Maybe the slower or lower cfm is more reliable less performance= longer lasting?

Answer
All of the air tanks will last for many, many years as long as any accumulated water is drained from it after each use.
