This is our second model P3120 Eagle compressor. We use it in an industrial setting where it powers everything from air brushes to packaging machines. It gets the job done.

Nothing But A Nightmare!

This unit failed on me twice in less than one year. First the Pressure Switch and a couple of months later, an unknown reason that the unit would not push pressure into the tank. I called the Manufacture. Still being under warranty. They made me pay for a Check Valve and gaskets. I replaced them, and it still doesn't pump any air at all now. The Company's Customer Service is very poor. I told them the issue and said to replace the above-mentioned. Still: FAILED. Then I call the manufacturer to request a new unit. They told me: "they can't do that," $700 later. This isn't a cheap piece of equipment as far as price. There is no reason the company couldn't send out a new unit and have the deliver return the defective one. I am a Blade Smith and rely on this particular piece of equipment to manufacture my goods. My shop has been out of commission for weeks now, losing hundreds of dollars in clients,
So that it "still under warranty". They contacted a repair shop in my area. The only problem: the unit is 145 lbs more or less. There is no way I'm going lift that and place it in my pick-up. I offered to pay for the service people to come to my house, answer: NO. I sure wish Sears was around. I paid approx: $700 dollars for the unit. It looked ruggedly built but had issues in the first 9 months. I had a wrinky dink Craftsmen I paid less than $300 for and never had an issue like this for the 20 years I owned it. The Manufacturer's Customer Service policy is despicable!!! Don't buy this brand!

Expert Response
Hello Joseph, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your feedback and we can certainly understand your aggravation. We have spoken to the manufacturer and they have been in contact with you to try and resolve this issue. They did explain this unit is portable and would have to take the compressor to A & T Power Tools which is 13 miles from his house to get it fixed. We understand the unit is heavy but with some assistance, it can be placed in your pick up. The year warranty is coming up this month and this needs to be taken care of as soon as possible to be within the warranty time period. We are sorry and wish there was more we could do for you but the only option is to bring the unit into the service center for service.

Manufacturer Response
Joseph,
When you ordered the parts the first time you didn't tell us they were under warranty, and I told you I would get the place to refund you for the parts. The compressor carries a one year warranty and since you have a portable unit you have to take it to the shop. I found a place 12 miles from your house to take it. I understand you are not able to take the unit, and that is why I sent you the parts so you could fix it since we couldn't find someone willing to come there because of COVID19 restrictions. I even sent you a brand new pump which will rectify your problem. I am still willing to help you to try to get it fixed but I can not send you a brand new compressor.
Thanks,
Mike

Product was shipped even faster than advertised. Is a little quieter than the one it replaced.
We put a lot of demand on this unit in an industrial environment and so far it has met that demand without excessive cycling.

A Good Value That's Made In America

The compressor arrived on time and in good shape. Getting the tires on was somewhat difficult due to the weight of the compressor and required jacking up the unit with blocks so that the tires could be attached. As previously noted by other buyers, the tires have a little play due to the axle being a little too long, but for me that is no problem.
One of the gauges stuck, and a call to the manufacturer in Mississippi quickly solved the problem - they sent me a complete new set of gauges and regulator for the compressor - great service !!
I would recommend this compressor and this manufacturer without hesitation.

Very Satisified with the Compressor

It took a little longer than expected for the delivery of the compressor, but the compressor was delivered in great shape!
The instructions for the compressor that came with the product was very limited and could use more information. My only complaint with the compressor is the wheel assembly the wheels need a better washer setup because there is so much play (wobble) in the wheels. This isn't an issue if you're not going to be moving the compressor often, but if you are, you may want to add spacers for the wheels!
Overall, I happy with the purchase, have not had to use customer service so I have no comments related to interacting with customer service.
Compressor is very well made and I like that it's made in the United States.

I have had this unit well over 5yrs now. Other than replacing a switch that burnt once after the 4th yr, witch I know was common in past units and on most other brands as they used same brand of switches, it's been great to me.
Due to my bad eyesight, I updated to bigger easy to see gauges then too, this compressors been absolutely rock solid since day one.
Make sure to drain its tank regularly to keep from rusting and these tanks will last & last too. Heavier than box store models so thicker tank steel no doubt there. It stays on 24/7 and is very airtight and rarely runs when not in use.
Twin cylinder pump fills tank fast enough so wait time is minimal if ever as I use IR impact, grinder/cutting wheel & air ratchet tools with ease but a DA sander/polisher you will wait to fill a lot of course, so if you do that buy a much bigger tank.
It's been a damn good unit and I'd buy another Eagle/Wood Industries compressor again in a minute if it failed today. Thank all you folks at Woods/Eagle!!
Parts like valves, rings, bearings etc..are always available with this brand too unlike most now that force you to buy complete pumps. Make sure you watch for throwaway pumps when buying most brands now, if you want parts if needed. I know some would rather toss/replace a pump instead, but not me, I'm old school.
I brag on this unit all the time, I'm proud of it, my Eagle works hard for me.
