Junk
By Derek M.

The green spiraled hose split at the connector. I cut it down a little and reattached it. Same thing happened again. After several attempts of cutting down the hose I ended up with about a 3" section of hose and was finally able to air up my tire.
Still not very confident how long that piece is going to hold up. Waste of money. Way overpriced.

Slime has a 1 year Factory Warranty on their products. If you'd like to give them a call, toll free, at (888) 457-5463 and let them know what happened they should be happy to help you.
Please have the serial number of your unit handy when you call them in case they ask for it. I checked our files and didn't find where you had purchased it from us, so you may also want to have your invoice handy also when you call them.

Should Have Done Some Research

Bought this pump to air up yard tractor tire. Tire was down low where I had to raise the yard tractor to enable the pump to inflate the tire. Could have done the same with a hand pump bike tire inflator. $70.00 is steep for having to go through the effort to get the weight off the tire to inflate.

Got my money's worth out of it.

I have had this pump since mid 2012 have used it in a pinch to pump up a petibone tire (telahandler, off-road fork lift), I typically carry this in my off-road bag to pump up 32x11.5r 15 tires on small off-road truck. Have had the hose by the pump get very hot and once so far blow a hole but cut that section out and was good. It does seem like after some heavy use and abuse that the pump has got louder. Mine came with nice carry case that fit everything. It does take a far amount of time to pump up anything more than a stock truck tire but maybe I'm just impatient.

Power Source Cap Missing
By Chuck L.

Review Posted 08/09/2015
I have had this unit well over a year going into the second year. Have had to use it many times to fill up my car tires with air - works fine for me.
Recently I was going to use it and it wouldn't work. I pulled the power source cord out and the little metal top pin and side pins fell out. The black cap was missing and I didn't notice it when I plugged the unit into the 12v outlet in the car.
My question is can I get a another cap to replace the missing one? Don't want to spend $70.00 for a new one unit just for a silly cap.

I have to admit I was warned to buy any brand but this one. It is obviously disposable after using it one time because that was all it lasted. I get a bad taste in my mouth when I see this brand on ANYTHING. You couldn't give me one of this company's worthless products !

I got this little pump from a local pawn shop for $30.
I wanted a tire repair kit for my motorcycle. I went home and deflated both tires on the motorcycle. I used the alligator clips that came with the pump and connected it to the battery.
I inflated both tires in no time, and this pump didn't get hot at all. I didn't use the green hose. The short black hose was more than enough. Perfect for my occasion
.
I would recommend it for large motorcycle tires and if a emergency happen, maybe an SUV tire.

Never even got to use it once ... the green hose has dried out and broken into little pieces.
Biggest waste of $70 I have ever seen.

Better than I expected
By Thomas D.

I was going on a very remote Jeep trip with a group that I wasn't familiar with so I bought this compressor just in case I needed it.
I have used it to air up 35" tires from 12 to 25lbs for 2 years. It is slow, noisy, gets hot, and the hose is about done. It also blows fuses when it gets too hot from abuse. The part that plugs in likes to vibrate apart and a small piece of it chipped off.
...but it still works!
This poor thing has been beaten and abused WAY beyond any expectations I ever had.
I use the included alligator clips to hook it directly to the battery so it won't blow fuses. I also do one tire, let it cool down, do another... it gives us plenty of time to talk about our cool trail exploits and harass each other.

On 1st attempt to add air to a mounted tire it blew out most all my fuses. Of all the choices I had at that point I chose to toss it in the trash and get on with my life. I also did not buy it from this site so I can't blame them.
Let the buyer beware!

I bought this inflator for my Jeep. When I go offroading, I deflate my tires, then reinflate when I head back to the main road. Used this unit only twice before it burned the motor up. A friend bought the same one and it burned up after only 3 uses. BY THE WAY I DID NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM FROM THIS COMPANY, GOT IT FROM AN AUTO PARTS STORE.

Inflators are meant to occasionally top off a tire; they were never designed to meet the demands of off-road enthusiasts.
We recommend using On-Board Compressors designed specifically repetitive use on large tires and rough terrain.
